Additional The Golfer's Mind: Play to Play Great Information

For the last decade, golfers of all abilities have been drawn to the writings and teachings of Bob "Doc" Rotella. His books Golf Is Not a Game of Perfect, Golf Is a Game of Confidence, The Golf of Your Dreams, and Putting Out of Your Mind have all become classics for golfers everywhere. Weekend golfers and pros like Brad Faxon, Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington, Tom Kite, and Davis Love III all read and listen to the man they call Doc because his teachings are simple and direct -- and in the end, what Doc says makes them play better golf.

The Golfer's Mind was actually first suggested by Davis Love, Jr. -- Davis Love III's dad -- who encouraged Doc to write an instruction book on golf's mental challenges, organized by topic. Love thought that golfers could keep the book with them, or at least nearby, at all times. When they needed a refresher on a certain issue, they could consult the book, read for a few minutes, and take away solid guidance regarding their difficulties. Doc heard what Love said, and twenty years later, The Golfer's Mind is that book. From his Ten Commandments (Commandment I. Play to play great. Don't play not to play poorly) to just about any topic a golfer might imagine, this is the ideal way for players to get all of Rotella's teachings. Doc covers topics including:

In the perfect format for the busy golfer, The Golfer's Mind is the concise and convenient quick-reference tool to appeal to Rotella's millions of followers and is sure to become a golf classic.

What Customers Say About The Golfer's Mind: Play to Play Great:

I'm not rating the book but the service. In fact, I already rated your service as being substandard. Requested the book on 12/15 and it didn't come until 12/29. I don't care what your arbitrary tolerance delivery dates are, I will think hard before ordering a book from you in anticipation that it will come in a reasonable time frame.

"Nothing will upset me today no matter what happens on the course". i can appreciate his psychological points in the book. the problem is, he doesn't really tell you how to bend your mind to achieve these concepts. "Love your putter and your wedges." okay, so i love them, now what. it will teach how to free your mind from all that mental chatter. you can tell anybody all these great ideas, but if they don't tell you how to get there, you will still blow it out of bounds.i've also read "Zen Golf" and this book is far superior IMHO.

but my game still sucks. "Play to play great" about sums it up. okay, i have implemented an attitude adjustment. Zen Golf actually gives you methods for training your mind to deal with pressure, to deal with nerves, and to build confidence, among other things. Rotella only provides you with great concepts. Read Zen Golf.

and learning psychological principals is all about HOW TO THINK, not what to think.

After struggling to find the right temperament on the golf course for many years, I have finally found the answer in the form of this book.My change in mental approach to the game of golf has enabled me within weeks to get my scores down to my single figure capabilities and be able to relax and enjoy golf as the game that it is.I wish I had read it 30 years ago.It is a must read for golfers of all standards and experience.

I went to a golf school with Bob one full week(imagine.). some years ago(1988),he was geat then and I think he is even better now, just like good wines.I dont think I can afford that now, so I recomend you read the book instead ,its probably more reasonable.

This was a typical Rotella book. Really, it is a compilation of statements made in his other books."Golf is Not a Game of Perfect","Putting Out of Your Mind", Golf is a Game of Confidence", and "The Golf of Your Dreams." Now, I have six of his books (including Life is Not a Game of Perfect"; and, although enlightening, he's pretty much said it all a couple of times.
